Update(ish)

Well hello there,
I haven't blogging much recently mainly because I had nothing to blog about. But, I decided to screw that and just chew your ear off with a whole lot of unimportant things that don't really concern anyone ha ha. Anyways, I'm in the last few week of my high school education and I can't wait to get out!!! I mean, the school is okay but it's about as good as school gets.
I am currently waiting upon my formal dress to arrive (about 2 weeks until the formal.. kind of getting a little worried) but it should arrive this week since I ordered it online and they said that it would arrive or leave on the 25th October so yeah, this week. YAY!
I have 5 assignments left out of the probably hundreds I've had to do over my schooling life and I'm looking forward to handing them in and then having a week off in exam block because all my assessments have finished!
I've been looking at publishers lately for when I finish my book. You know, taking down addreses, seeing what they want regarding cover letters, CV, synopsis and all that jazz. I'm quite excited really. I've finished 12 chapters of my first novel (there'll be a total of around 24 or so) and 4 of my second. I know I should have just stuck with the one book and waited 'till it was finished but what can I say? I'm just a little, tad, weeny bit impatient and I wanted to write it all out.
Also, I have a question for all those reading this, what do you think about accents? Apparentally mine doesn't even sound Australian and I AM Australian, my parents are Australian, their parents are Australian and their parents were probably Australian too! And then when I ask what I sould like they don't even know themselves! Gees, people these days, they just can't make up their minds.
Anyways,
hope your accent is all good ha ha
Cyaa.

You are the best!

Tonight I felt like sharing a little bit from the bible. I am a christian, and I believe in God. Whether you do or don't believe the things I do is your choice. So, read on if you would like to know what I have to say. It's just a few verses from Psalms. If you don't believe in the bible, read what I say after the verses, everyone can use a little bit of talking up :).

I was going through one of my old journals last night and was reading stuff about my goals and dreams when I had just finished my first year of high school. It was just before starting year 9 that I was writing how I want to grow up to be an author. Some people think there is no point in becoming an author.
"You can't make a living out of that" I remember one person saying but the truth is, to me, it's not about the money I will get. One of the main reasons I wanted to become an author was because whenever I read a book I would always get some kind of joy, hapiness or whatever from reading. I want to provide/ be a part of the same kind of joy that I get out of reading, with the people that will choose to read my work. I know that publishing is difficult but I have faith and a God that will provide.

Psalm 37 1:1-2
Do not fret because of evil men or be envious of those who do wrong;
For like grass the will soon wither, like greeen plants they will soon die away.

So, for anyone out there whether you are a christian or not, just remember that the problems you are facing now won't always be there. Don't limit or belittle yourself because of others that put you down. You are worthy of the best in life so don't let anyone put you down. Don't let them have that power over you, take charge of your own life and strive for the best. People will put you down, you can't escape that. But, you can be a part of the solution by ignoring their ways and the harm they direct towards you. Just remember that they won't always be there and let's face it, there will be a day when they die. And they won't be able to harm you again. People can get jealous very easily and jealousy can lead to destruction of others if it is not dealt with. People who are jealous will do all they can to cut you down so they can walk all over you and stand taller. Hey, at least they feel better. But, No. Don't let people walk all over you because you won't stand up for yourself. Every human being has a right to excel -- don't let them take that right because they were too jealous to be happy for you.

Psalm 37 1:3-4
Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
Delight yourself in the Lord and he will give you the desires of your heart.

Pretty straight forward. God can't protect you if you aren't dwelling in his presence. By allowing God to enter your life you are giving him the key to be able to watch over and look after you. Bad things can still happen, God isn't a safety net for all the wrongs that can happen in the world. But, He will help you through tough times. Believe and trust, have faith. Enjoy the blessings, your gifts and your talents. Everyone is unique and beautiful. Embrace your talents and shine to all who you come in contact with.
The desires of your heart won't be overlooked.

Good News!!

Bonjour mes amies (hello my friends)
I got exciting news today!!!
I recently entered a short story competition and guess what?!?! I won!! First prize to be exact and now I can say I am a published author (or soon to be).
The story I wrote had to have a central focus on passion. I chose to write a story about a Dream Weaver called Lana. She, along with her people, believe they don't have a passion. The dream weavers spend their days weaving dreams for humans, working in a hallway where they enter rooms, or more specifically ONE room. Lana is constantly drawn to room 158 and weaves dreams for people who feel they have no passion. She relates to them, as she too has no passion, and strives to make them see that they are wanted, that passion can be awakened in them again and they can a live a life filled with a purpose. The story ends with Lana realising her passion is to help those who feel they have no passion. She also realises the purpose of the hallway is for the dream weavers to exercise their passion and live their life, ultimately, living their passion.

The story will be published in the spring issue of their magazine and on their website. I will also notify you when it is published on the website if you would like to read more.

I'm so excited :D
Anyway, apart form that fantastic news I was so excited I had to tell someone so, I e-mailed my sister and my mum, texted my mum and dad and then I went on facebook and let the whole world know that I won a short story competition. And then I blogged about it or should I say am blogging about it.
Okay, now I will get off that subject.
So, I was walking home today and realised I was singing the alphabet to myself? And then I would sing it in French. Well, actually I sang it in french and then I went to Englishe. And then I sang it in french to the marching song, "I don't know what I been told" but instead it was "ar, bay, say, day, er, ef, jay" (that is the pronounciation of a,b,c,d,e,f,g in french...I'm pretty sure). Yes, that's what happens when I get excited, lucky no one was around when I started singing to myself.
My day was quite uneventful, apart from being notified of that glorious news, I walked to school early, ate, did school work, then came home again.
And now I am waiting for my VICTORY DINNER!!
beef stroganoff, mmmmm.....
Anyhoos, bye for now.

Introduction

Well, this is my first blog post and my first blog. My name is Ally and I'm 17. It is the 18 of October and exactly 1 month and 1 day until I graduate from high school and have my formal :D.
I am so excited, I can't wait but unfortunatley I still have to. Leaving would peobably be the best part of graduating. Lots of people say 'oh you will miss it' but seriously, I don't think I will.
After school I hope to become an author and do a bachelor of arts majoring in creative writing. I am currently half way through a hopefully novel, and just started another one that will most likely be a prequel or something like that, or not. I write fantasy, mythical type stuff and no, none of my stories involve vampires... or do they? ha ha no, they don't.
One thing you will hopefully get used to is my pathetic attempts of a joke... all my friends tease me about it, my jokes are lame but that's why they are so funny. I also have this amazing ability to kill the joke which sucks so I usually TRY to not say anything and spare them their funny joke, doesn't usually work though.
So anyhoo, comment me or whatever you do, subscribe/follow and I shall post some more tomorrow or maybe tonight depending on what I feel like.
Have a wonderful night/day depending on when you read this (it's day for me).
Bye for now
